GOLS Certified Organic

The Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) is a leading global standard for the processing of organic natural rubber (latex), combining environmental and social criteria and supported by independent certification across the supply chain. The aim of the standard is to define internationally recognized requirements that help ensure the organic integrity of latex products—from the sourcing of raw latex, through environmentally and socially responsible processing and manufacturing, up to labeling—so consumers can trust the claims being made.

The GOLS standard sets requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecological practices and labor conditions in the manufacturing of products made with organically produced natural rubber latex. Organic natural rubber production is based on agricultural practices that support long-term ecosystem health and responsible land management, and it excludes genetically modified inputs. In addition, workers are expected to perform their jobs in safe, humane conditions, and to be treated fairly and respectfully throughout certified operations.
