Yak wool, or "khullu", comes from the Yak, a bovid common in the high altitudes of Central Asia and the Himalayan mountain range. Their hair is shorn in spring where it is then collected for processing.

Care Instructions
Due to natural yak hair hardly absorbing dirt and odors, it is usually sufficient to hang your yak throw out in the fresh air from time to time, preferably in foggy weather, avoiding direct sunlight. If necessary, wash by hand at max. 86°F/30° C with wool detergent. Air dry on flat service turning occasionally. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
